With the early-bird deadline extended yet again by a very generous (not) 5 days, there's obviously a "stand-off " developing between the owners and the supporters (I know whose more important).Briatore and Co.expect us to pledge our future and our support for "our " team by parting with the type of money more akin to the Premiership, before pledging himself to us by employing a quality manager and two quality strikers. The kids (8 -16) ST price in particular is extortionate in the extreme.Up from £70 to £449.If ,like me you were weaned on QPR as a kid,you will know that the QPR kids of today are the future of our club, just as we were before them.We seem to be doing sod all about some of the free agents that are available and that could do a job for our team. The likes of Lita,Beckford,Cox etc.3,500 ST's sold so far compared to the 10,000 required illustrates the unrest amongst the supporters, yet Briatore does nothing to endear himself to us and doesn't look like doing so either now or in the near future. What is this man playing at??

We were told when they came on board that they don't do failure...
At least now we know they are fast learners :very_sad:A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

I hope this is a sensible debate, but
How much more should they invest?
if Leeds will not sell Beckford for less than 4 million, should we buy for the sake of it? Its never easy to get the players you want, especially in the championship, with no parachute payments and the liklihood that certain teams will pay more.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Pete - we're going nowhere by keep getting linked with the likes of Adebola,Webber,Tugay,Magilton,Calderwood etc.Wolves and Birmingham had to spend to get promoted, and with Briatore presenting himself as the Messiah nearly 2 years ago,he needs to back up his promises by putting his hands in his pocket like he's expecting us to do.£4m for Beckford,£2m for cox and a decent manager would be a good start.

Lets concentrate on getting a proper manager first.

Manager first ( a good one - not one turfed out by another mid table Championship side or one already failed at a mid table Championship side - LDC, I'm looking at you!)
Sensible signings - not unproven kids from Spain and Italy on exhorbitant deals. Nice, solid signings from either this level or hungry young talent from League 1 or 2.
Don't waste silly money on "fad" players. How much did Charlton splash on McLeod? Last years Beckford. For £4m you'd get someone like Kevin Phillips for 2 years including salary and signing on fees.
Let the manager choose the players and let the manager manage......
Then we'll talk about renewing.
The club have to either now sh1t or get off the pot.
