Millwall result wont be a one off, other team will have their homework done on us,Man mark Taarabt,Mackie's goals from midfield could dry up,we never got that illusive quality striker,we will get injuries along the way(like we do now)and other teaams like Ipswich,Swansea,Reading and Notts F could start putting runs together. Can we continue like we have started towards christmas or will we struggle to produce early form.My prediction is we wont be top 2 by dec 19th,i think we will slip a bit and be 3rd or 4th,thats just what i think.I do think that NW will be given funds in january to push us forward and if we get a quality striker then automatic promotion is a real possibility, but for now i predict Cardiff will be top at christmas with Reading 2nd,us 3rd.I know i will be slated for this post as there is a general cockyness on this board because of our great start but i bet you if you were offered 3rd place at christmas before the season started EVERYONE would have taken that.

I'm sure you're right about taking 3rd place at Xmas before the season. We now have more information about the team's potential and have changed our expectation. I see no reason for not getting automatic promotion. With injuries out of the way after the International break Warnock will have even more options to mix it up.
1. QPR
2. Burnley

Why does everyone assume that 'other teams will do their homework' on us and yet seem to forget that we will do exactly the same on other teams?? That's exactly where NW has the edge, he can mix it up midway through a game with our strong and versatile bench.
Let them do their homework, let them put two men on Taraabt and let Mackie get a hatfull!!2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!
2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....
2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....
2015/2016, average at best.....
2016/2017, same old, same old....
2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!
Its the hope that kills you!

I see he played and scored for Blackburn's reserves this week - so at least he is playing and maybe getting himself fit for the Rangers#standuptocancer

Rangers and Cardiff, one way round or the other. We've got to play Cardiff at home between now and then and I think that game may determine which way round it is.
Some very tricky games between now and then. Can we win at the City Ground for the first time ever? Trips to KC and Elland Rd and a night trip to Portsmouth all look unpredicatable or worse. Also many people's pre-season favourites Burnley and current form teams like Watford and Reading at to come here. No getting round this but it does show how our strength is going to be tested week on week.
