  • Millwall were due a result and so were Palace

Glad to come through last nights match unscathed (on the pitch anyway), Millwall were a due to turn the corner after what I believe was a run of three straight defeats.

More importantly the draw in the Palace game at Cardiff means they stopped the rot before our match much the same way Leicester did against Cardiff as well. I can't help thinking after the last 2 home matches that it may start proving less difficult for us to get results away from home. Teams are expected to attack us instead of sitting back making it difficult for us to break them down. This is where we are must dangerous picking teams off on the counter attack IMO.

Wasn't feeling confident about Palace before the Millwall match but I now think we get the win making it undefeated in 10 in the league this season.

I think Palace will get turned over comfortably.

I was worried that this would be our 1st loss at theirs, but I now don't see that coming until Swansea away. Palace are without Vaughan, and this has massively limited their outlet up front. Add to that our near perfect defence, and it says to me that we only need to nick on goal to take all three points. Something that is very possible against their poor backline.
    Your mum would love me...

im not confident for saturday, we have been rumbled, and thats not negative cos people cant rumble us when ally is playing. so till then we are going to be marked and kicked out of every game. another draw at best saturday, but could be first loss. (i called the draw last night by the way, cos i knew what millwall would do)

Reports suggest Palace were the better team last night. But Cardiff are shite and Palace had f'all to lose so not reading much into that. But I am sure they won't want to lose to us and suspect they will try to park the bus. But they tried that last year and failed and we are even stronger this year. So a good day out is guaranteed and I think the 3 points are pretty safe too.

Looking forward to it. I used to hate going to Selhurst as it was dull and is actually more difficult to get to from North West London than a lot of non-London grounds we have to go to. But the fixture now has some edge so bring it on.

Once again the midfield battle will be key on Saturday. I would love Rowlands to be fit enough to start alongside Derry. Here is where the game will be won and lost.

I think it maybe time to see Smith start at the expense of Ephraim and control the game further upfield. Although our defence has been solid and Palace have lost Vaughan we are still giving too much ball away in our opponents half and for that reason I'd be happier if we started with a smarter and stronger Smith then I would if Ephraim plays. Maybe harsh on Ephraim but with the last few performances as a whole not being as good as they could have been this might give him and some others a little wake up call especially with the likes of Rowlands, Faurlin, Hulse etc soon to return.
