  • Seriously wondering...

...if I should go on my own tomorrow and leave Dan and Josie at home? Getting a little fed up with people making it out to be some huge joke -- it's not your children who could be hurt.

It's no good people saying that it's all cyber talk, there are too many ITK people on all MB's saying it's going to get nasty etc. etc.
Coupled with the fact that we are in X block, which has sold out (Millwall fans? Or Rangers fans in there as a one-off just to stand up goading the Millwall fans for 90mins? Or, even worse, both?) I am really not sure whether they will be safe.
Josie just hasn't the sight to see/run from trouble, and Dan's autism means he cannot sense any sort of problem or danger.

I can look after myself, but I don't know whether I can look after them too. They really want to go but I am in a bit of a dilemma here.
    Any (sensible) thoughts?

(If you're just going to poke fun, please stay off this thread).

If in X block, I wouldn't bring the kids. Surely there'll be a lot of Rangers with little interest of the game.

Would go myself, but not take Josie or Dan.
Shame really but best they dont get caught up in any bother.
Can you re-locate to lower loft?
        Maybe an option.

Thanks to all -- this idea above sounds like a good option -- there seem to be free seats in LL. Have bought hubby a ticket in X block too, but I'll see if they can change his as well.
Not so worried about outside the ground, but X block is too near the away end and could be problematic if things do go tit.s up.
Once again, thank you all of you.

dont take no kids tomorrow imho. nothing would happen to the, but it just aint worth putting them thru the horrible edgy atmosphere getting in and out.

Good idea move to the lower loft if possible. I'm not bringing my eight year old son tomorrow and he is distraught about it.

I can look after myself but these animals don't care who they hit women and kids included.

If they want to fight why don't they join the army and fight like real men.

If your in x block i would seriously consider leaving them at home for this one...

A stray coin/bottle is all it takes.

The stewards are gonna have to be on there highest guard, and it aint gonna be easy for them! Unless you can get relocated to another part of the ground i would say leave them at home.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

                    Again, thanks for the advice.
Looks like it's Lower Loft or leave them at home.
I'll be there, though, with or without them.
                    I hope it's with.

Would suggest lower loft, alternatively see if the club can move you to South Africa Road and explain the situation, sure they will accomodate you. Give them a ring tomorrow. Often these things are overhyped, but best to be safe than sorry.

Would add try to get game a tad earlier say 630, normally the trouble starts neaer kick off.

                              Thanks everyone.
Will call the Box Office first thing tomorrow.
Would still like to take them, just not in X block.
