  • Buz...

Was shocking today, his passes were going all over the place. Really missed Faurlin, just as we did last week against Leicester. Fingers crossed he'll be back Tuesday?

Pains me to say this but Buz was truely awful. Hurry up Faurlin!

      Was poor at Leicester too.

Playing deep doesn't suit him at all.

Yeah. If Faurlins not fit by Tuesday, I would play Legs instead of Buz

How fit is Rowly - he would be the perfect Faurlin replacement - Legs can have some really good days, but has too much of a tendency to give the ball away

Rowly not really ready, otherwise I think we would have seen a cameo appearance today or last week.
NW did say that we are short for bench players, which might be the only reason he is on it.
We might have to endure Legs and Buzz in CM Tuesday if Derry isn't fit. Though, to be fair, Legs has been better this season when he's come on -- perhaps not being an automatic first team choice has given him a bit of a kick up the backside.

Yeah he's not a deep player buy any means... he needs to play just behind Helguson.

Which happens to be Taarabts position.

I have always thought Rowly was more of an attacking player, or at least a get up and down player, not one to sit in front of the defence.
I disagree completely about Buz today. Thought he played some nice balls, linked play well and it was his corner that set up the first goal - but what do I know?

That would be fine if he was playing behind the striker -- but he's on in place of Faurlin, and that role needs to be more defensive -- which he's not. I don't think anyone's criticising Buzz, per se, just pointing out that he doesn't look comfortable with Faurlin's defensive duties.
Not his fault, just shows that we haven't got a fit replacement for Faurlin.

Totally disagree. Buzz was one of the few players in the team in the first hour who brought the ball down and played it simple instead of giving away possession. Thing is, he always tried the right ball and occasionally it misses and people notice that. They don't notice others playing longer balls and giving it away on a much more regular basis.

I thought Buzz had a really good game, but tired at the end.

I too thought Buz did a a good job, in a position that does not allow him the freedom that usualy allows him to really be effective.

That wasn't helped by the tacticaly astute O'Driscoll sitting Woods on Derry and Oster on Buz to stop them bringing the ball forward in our normal game plan.
