as I predicted, Mackie for scotland, if he played for england he'd be warming the bench anyway. I'd love to see him in the blue shirt.

I'd be livid if he picks up an injury playing for those clowns.

QPR would spank the Scottish National Team 3 or 4 nil IMO

yeah well I'm not racist, I'd like to see all british teams do well, I made a lot of money on England and Ireland in 2002, and one of my favourite games of all time was Northern Ireland 1- Spain 0, in 1982.

I think it's a smart move by Craig Levein, Mackie is bang in form and has a great attitude. I hope he does well for them!

I don't think not liking Scotland is particularly 'racist'...

Banter maybe but not racist... christ the majority of those lot north of the border hate the England team with a passion and to be honest because their team are so woeful cheering on England's opponents and or a bad result for us has taken over from worrying about Scotland's results which on the whole are dire....

Personally I always think its a joke when a player ends up playing for a team because their grandparent(s) are from that particular country. In Jamie's case at least he's being upfront about it being good for his CV etc but still think it's sad bearing in mind he was born and bred and has played ALL his professional football in England!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed be gutted if he got injured for those meatheads over the border.....

I understand that, but let's put it this way, I'd rather our best striker play for Scotland rather than France or Spain.

if he gets called up for scotland, his confidence will rise, therefore , it can only help Rangers. If he scores for scotland this boy is gonna go through the roof. I mean look at Paul Scholes, he was begged by Capello to play for england, he said no, then after england went out, he said it was a mistake on his part, I love scholes to death, always have, but I thought, 'now you think it was bad idea not to play for england'? are you stupid or what? Don't apologize after the fact, you twit, you will get no sympathy.

Mackies isn't the type to give it the Barry big ********. If he did Warnock would not have it anyway.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.
