Someone mentioned him on here the other day, and yesterday, my mate text me the same rumour.
I find this strange for a few reasons.
Firstly, he's just back from a long injury, and can't be fully fit. We're not a rehab centre, so I don't get the logic behind this.
Secondly, it's not like he's desperately needed. We've got Makie and Ephraim in good form, both who play the type of position which Kightly would occupy. We have backup in Tommy Smith and even Taarabt can play there if Buzz fills in the hole. Not ideal, I know, but it's a solution if we were to be hit by injuries. Even Lee Cook who is allegedly close to a return can play left of the striker.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he'd prove to be a good signing, but I don't see him getting into a position which Tommy Smith is struggling to break through into.
