Someone mentioned him on here the other day, and yesterday, my mate text me the same rumour.

I find this strange for a few reasons.

Firstly, he's just back from a long injury, and can't be fully fit. We're not a rehab centre, so I don't get the logic behind this.

Secondly, it's not like he's desperately needed. We've got Makie and Ephraim in good form, both who play the type of position which Kightly would occupy. We have backup in Tommy Smith and even Taarabt can play there if Buzz fills in the hole. Not ideal, I know, but it's a solution if we were to be hit by injuries. Even Lee Cook who is allegedly close to a return can play left of the striker.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he'd prove to be a good signing, but I don't see him getting into a position which Tommy Smith is struggling to break through into.

Give up all you like mate. He was right about Clarke, Mackie, Derry and Kenny. e was also right about the £3+m bid for Walters accepted, and that he was at LR (I said medical, and was wrong) at that time. I think you'll find even Walkonby confirmed that

He also got a few wrong...Ambrose (Even Warnock got that wrong) and McAnuff to name a couple.

Anyway, I'm not bothered who believes them as they are rumours, and I'm not looking for any recognition, as it's not me uncovering them. He's a good mate, and a trustworthy one at that, so he's no reason to lie to me.

Benny this was actually in the Mirror last week if my memory serves me well. Our worry at the minute should be cover for Faurlin. 4 to 6 weeks I hear he out for. Someone else posted on here that it could be upto 2 months? If anyone else knows different then please share???

Kightly's injury was worse than Cookie's.

Wouldn't touch with a ten foot clown pole at the moment. And that's a real shame as I really, really rated him.

i can't remember mate. I definitely read it somewhere though. I heard he was back and knobby wanted to loan him out.

Oh I totally agree why you feel like he deserves credit and his info and track record is better than most on here but the reasons most of the ITK is useless info is because the club are very tight lipped about rumours. I think plugging the main hole that was GP has actually made this club a well run professional football club and 99% or rumours I just don't go with. No dig at you but I don't think it will happen

We do need defensive cover especially with Stewart gone, Ramage out for the season, Borrowdale clearly not favoured, Orr and Hall still out injured and no other genuine defenders who could be regarded as first teamers available. The likes of Hill and Connolly can play other positions but we don't need Kightly when we have other areas of weakness.

yeah we have hardly missed the defensive qualitys of Borrowdale and Stewart. Infact good riddens I have been waiting ages for us to get rid of the ####.

Hill gets injured on Saturday what happens?

Walker swaps position to play left back and Leigertwood comes on and play right back therefore rather than a straight like for like swap we would have to change a minimum of two positions. If Hill is out for any longer than the match he gets injured in then we bring in a replacement for him but for 10 mins or even after 1 minute into the match Borrowdale is a better option than having to change the whole defence around.
