  • Whats it like sitting in X block?

    Just wanted some feedback.

i normally sit in R block but sadly wont be able to for the millwall game.. therefor im split whether to sit in S or X as ive heard/seen many threads regarding the X block.

i love the atmosphere i get with R block, standing up, singing etc.

I dislike the odd idiot who is constantly swearing when its clear there are kids about. singing songs with swear words is one thing but you occaisionally get the idiot who just starts ranting with the word c u next tuesday etc.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

If you dislike the odd few idiots for swearing then you WON'T want to sit in x block. They are quite an odd bunch that sing strange songs. R block is lively but you don't have quite the same stupid northern insults. R is very different to X. I used to always sit in R and going back there for Norwich. But I sit in SA for most games.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

X Block is pretty good especially the banter with the away fans but you have to put up with the 'in-breds' taking up the 2 back rows. If you dont like the 'c u next tuesday' word sit somewhere else.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

        Spot on.

I get embarraced when they start signing your mums your dad. I have always wondered why they have never bothered looking in a mirrior.

Yeah they are so embarracing. I seem to remember them singing 'Leroy Leroy your a c**t' for abour 20 mins non stop when Midlesboro' visited last season! I think they only know two or three songs, and they dont have more than about 6 words"!!

i sit in x block with my 2 lads and its great, i guess it depends on where u sit in x block, cos i certainly dont hear the c**t word very often, great atmosphere there mate.

x block really depends on the away fans IMO. Can be great when away end is full and the banter is good.

When there are only a few away fans behind the goal it's rubbish there.

              Millwall should be interesting!

I cant see the problem with 'Your mums your dad, your dads your mum' as its a song sang between two sets of rival fans with no swear words, the same as years ago people sang songs like 'In your northern/Chelsea/Luton/Watford slums, you look in the dustbin for something to eat........"

definatly going to give x block a go this year, although im quite scared that their might be some horrible men saying nasty words...at a football game of all places what has the world come to?

I am sure the people who moan about x block dont go to away games where the home fans are really giving it large from both sides of the away fans (derby was a classic especially that short fat bone head on the left who was going blue in the face and that bald git in black, who had a muff type thing on his chin), but they expect QPR fans to be sandal wearing guardian readers.

I am not moaning about X block just stating things as I see them. I sit there when I cant get into R Block. I am not whiter than white and go to just as many away games as home games. But parts of X block aren't, imho, suitable for kids

X block is where QPR FC give free tickets children from their school of excellence and other school kids on freebies or cheapies.

Prefer fans get behind the team instead of goading opposition fans. Having witness some of the fans who sing this song I'd have thought they should be questioning their own gene pool before others.
