  • How would we fare now?

I know it's a hypothetical question but how do you think we would fare at this precise moment in the prem, both with the big and smaller clubs? Or do you think we are way off that?
Just a thought what with our current form.

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

    I think we would struggle.

The difference between the 2 league is mainly in the quality strikers.

I rate connors and Gorkks but I think players like Berba and Drogba would destroy them.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Confidence is our main strength at the moment. With our team confidence I'm sure we could hold our own on current performance levels, in the premiership. I'm sure we would lack a bit of strength in depth in quality with our current squad but with a few more additions we could do very well in the higher league.

I think we could stay up if we get promoted. We have got the manager, core basis of a good squad and the potential financial resources to stay there and be a mid table team.

we would be struggling i reckon. the gap in class between the prem and the champs is massive.

would there be enough teams to get 40pts from? 10 wins, 10 draws? But being a flagship team promoted by indian backing, I would like to hope the club have bigger plans for publicity purposes.

I do love Warnock but I'm a tad concerned his forte is working at this level. His brief time in top flight with Blades was not illustrious. However, I dunno what sort of backing from his board he got last time and maybe him and Amit are the dream team this time round.

If the likes of Stoke, Wigan, Birmingham, Bolton and Fulham can stay up and make a go of it then there is no problem for us. Look at our history compared to theirs? With better financial backing now than at any previous time in QPR's history we cant go wrong.

A new 25k seater stadium, stability in the boardroom and money to spend I think we'll do very well, mid-table for a couple of seasons and then top six. Remember, we were London's top club for many years in the old Barclays Div 1 and early days of the premiership with not much money!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

There isn't any difference between us right now and the following Prem sides:

                    Blackpool
                    West Brom
                    Wigan
                    Sunderland
                    Bolton
                    Blackburn
                    Birmingham
                    Fulham (would be tough though)
                    Wolves
                    Stoke

^ agree with that. our best starting eleven would hold its own against any of those, and would beat nearly all of them at home.
we need to get up there as quick as possible and we need to see if hulse is any good, if not then we need to spend again and big on a proper goal scorer if it proves he isnt.

Warnock must believe in Hulse, why on earth would he buy an injured player otherwise?

                          West Brom (I'd fancy them)
                          Wigan (Not too sure)
Sunderland (You are joking...They'd not struggle against us)
Bolton (Bolton would be too physical)
Blackburn (Can't see us turning them over)
Birmingham (Massive joke. They are a quality side and would spank us)
Fulham (would be tough though) (Again, they'd have no trouble)
Wolves (Not great, but very organised. We'd struggle, for sure.)
Stoke (They'd also beat us, and possibly with ease)
We seriously need to get a grip on reality. Trying to run before we can walk. A good start to the season, and you think we're a top ten Prem side going by this list. Utter nonsense.

yeah i trust warnocks judgement, but against prem sides like mentioned above, would he be good enough.
we need to see him playing with our players before we will be able to tell.
cos up there, you get one chance and dont convert it is usually the difference between winning and losing.
and i reckon at home and the way we are playing 'right now' we would be a match for any of the bottom half of the premiership. this side is immense.
they are this years newcastle, and they seem to be doing ok thus far dont they bennyboy?
p.s beating chelsea in the cup at the moment.

Yeah, but you fail to remember, Newcastle had a squad capable of playing Prem football. We are nowhere near that level, and that's a fact. They got done by Blackpool and drew with Wolves. They spanked a Villa team who didn't turn up and beat a woeful Everton side having a bad patch.

And they are making a meal out of beating a Chelsea side with three first teamers.

Did Sturridge start by any chance?
