Originally posted by G.T.P View Postagreed, but main centre forward is a whole different ball game tho, like keeper.
Hulse will after coming back from injury need to prove himself whereas Helguson is playing well in a winning side. If Warnock takes the attitude of awarding playing on the past achievements rather than their current form then I'll eat ted's dog.

Hey isn't this brilliant last season we had no strikers (well 1 on loan) and this esaon we are debating who should play (when fit) out of Helguson, Hulse, Smith, Clarke and Smith (and of course Dave)
It was only a short while ago when we were all looking jealously at Forest and thier choices up front. Oh how things have changed!!!
Having HH firing on all cylinders is like having a new signing. Tha's why NW is already a legend, he's looked at Heider and thought "hold on I can do something with this lad" and so it as turned out. No-one saw that coming!!!!!oldhoop

Agree with Sir Pie, no reason to drop Helguson, he's been superb so far this season. By all means introduce Hulse later on in games as Buz was but from there its upto Hulse to score and make the goals that makes him impossible to leave out. Of our existing players Helguson has to be our most transformed player this season.

Just imagine the same team but Hulse starting for HH against Doncaster and scoring a goal but we loose 1-2. What will people say then.
And remember that fewest goals in a match we have scored so far is 2.

Originally posted by G.T.P View Posthes scored four in seven (two from pens) which is impressive, but the penalties will dry up, and i reckon so will his goals by the time hulse is fit, hence him out and hulse straight in. its just my guess and maybe a bit biased cos i dont really rate him.
I make it 3 penalties (Barnsley, Boro and Ipswich). One in open play (Scunny). Which doesn't look so impressive to me.

Helguson is not a 20 a season man necessarily, he will of course scores goals but he keeps the ball in their half, he relieves pressure, he wins headers, he links in other players who then have possession in dangerous areas. A really great team player.
