stood/sat in every part of loftus rd.was in the loft as a kid behind the goal then as i got older further back up the loft with the lads.remember the cfc game(fa cup)with the wall collapsing.also the 68 1st div season and seeing the likes of man utd, chelsea, west ham, spurs etc taking the loft.then i remember the classic 75 season where it was always packed in there as the season came to its climax.
remember the 80s paddock days with your boys towards the away end up against that fence!! my grandad was a legend down there back in the day stood all around that ground he did.his last regular standing spot was right at the back of the old school end(ellerslie side)sporting trilby hat!! he told me about the time in the 60s when qpr were playing brentford and the bees centre half was kicking lumps out of your centre forward all game.this incensed my grandad so much he jumped onto the pitch from the ellerslie and ran on the pitch and chinned the bees centre half!! he put the fella on his #### and ran back to his mates in the ellerslie and hid amongst the all wearing coat and trilby brigade! needless to say that nite he was the toast of notting dale and never bought a drink all nite!!!
70's was the Loft, then school end whilst they rebuilt the loft, then back to the Loft just to the left of the goal (when on the pitch facing the loft). Jumped up to celebrate a goal against Chelsea and hit my head on the bottom of the upper loft, blood everywhere, coppers thought I'd been hit!!
In the 80's a group of about 10 if us (from my work) went to most evening games, mixture of R's, Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs fans etc and stood in the East Paddock. We would go to any midweek game, just depended on who was playing. Every Sat home game was always the Loft.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!
81 and 82 me and the lads all aged 14 used to stand in the left corner of the loft under what is now Q block. The game that stands out for me was Palace in the quarter final, I had been drinking loads of cider and had to sit on he terrace the whole game. I woke up when Clive scored and at the end there was a pitch invasion. I got brave and ended up taking a Palace scarf that was on the floor outside. The stories I told of how I got that scarf would make Rambo seem like Postman Pat.
Another time me and the chums were all in the Loft lower, again in the left corner. We took a lad along with us who was West Ham. The Rangers players were warming up taking shots at I think was John Budgie. Our hammer friend was munching on one of those nasty camel burgers when someone sliced his shot straight at our pal. The ball hit him full in the face as he was taking a bite of the burger and it splattered all over his mush. Needless to say John never came back to Rangers after that, but we sang to him all day and all the way home.
I had some good times in the Paddock around 86, especially against Liverpool and Spurs. I think the Liverpool game was around 26000 attendance.
I loved sitting up in F Block SAR as well, a collection of Armani, Pringle, Lacoste, LOIS jeans and other top brands were being worn. QPR were probable best dressed firm after the Gooners.

TBH lone, clobber is too expensive these days what with responsibilities with life. I reckon designers have run out of ideas, it's back to the old retro or Stone Island which is old hat. It appears to be black hooded jacket these days, either Fred Perry, S.I, North Face or Henri Lloyd.
What's that brand with all the love hearts and tattoo designs? maybe Wall and Chels should wear that, very suitable for them eh!
ha ha yeah that atrocious ed hardy. stone island went down when they started making it in romania.then football factory came out and for me i couldnt touch it again.shame cos they used to make some blinding pieces the attention to detail was fantastic and they had some real innovative ideas.i like old massimo osti bits you can find some blinders online.
