But, I was happy with Kenny, Hill, Derry as established players known by Warnock. A mate of mine is a Plymouth fan who told me Mackie was full of energy and would be a good player with better players around him and he would get 12-15 easily. I was happy that the transfer window ended in Aug not July and allowed NW to wait to get his targets and the right price.

Perhaps my patience is down to advancing years and I did take great enjoyment at the knee jerk comments here over the summer!!

I too must hold my hands up in terms of Clint signing - I thought we were getting a slow lump... forgot that a "footballing brain" is a far more useful asset than pace/youth. So unreserved apologies to NW and CH.
