That's pretty much what I thought. All that does make finding a pub there pretty hard work eh? It'd be handy for me if there were other options so if anyone knows of any happy if you'd share them. I as as with the Hammersmith and City line almost permanently out of action now, I am having to go up to Northolt or one of the Ruislip stations to get the central line to home games. Ive been struggling for a decent boozer this side of business around there tbh.

Ta - That's been 1st choice of late. But when it is busy and you are in a rush the service can be dreadful. But thanks anyway. You've at least confirmed what I thought.

Stanley, try the Bell in Ruislip gardens which is no better or worse than the Middlesex Arms.

Thanks Paul. I think I just might give that a go. I haven't tried the run in from there this year.

                          the trouble

the trouble was with the firefly, that it sat half way between northolt and hayes so it wasnt very stable.

the greatest ever qpr pub was the load of hay in the old days,in the semi final of the fa cup,we took 112 geezers out of that northolt pub alone

prefered the brook house to the firefly if i fancied a day out the manor.
oh and the greenwood is greenford/sudbury. if we are going out that far, it was ALL about the ballet box and the oldfield tavern. best pubs around back in the day, straight into oscars after.

The Constellation South Harrow, now the star had a fair few Rangers. It's still frequented by R'ss nowadays as well.
