  • Kyle Walker

What a talanted and confident player. You'd have thought he had played for us for ages by the way he just slotted in. This youngster will be playing on the big stage very soon me finks.

and judging by Nodge's posts he will be with us for a while yet, I see him being a key player for us over the next few games

Spoke with a chap yesterday at the match who says he has it on good authority that KW is here until Christmas at least

how did we go from having no right backs at all, to having Orr and Walker at the same time??? Miracles do happen!

Great news, I remember seeing him play for Sheff Utd a few years ago and thinking he had great potential back then. Orr is a solid RB in this division but I think this lad is a league above

If true, let us extend his loan signing till the end of the season.

If you read through some recent article mate, you'll notice that we are doing something very similar with Smith. By extending the deal one month at a time, it limits the number of games we will be without him. I would imagine that NW has sorted out the same deal for Walker.

Makes a change to have a manager/board room setup who have the nous to think about these things logically

I see a reference to a Nodge suggestion that he may be here a while, and then Nodge himself suggesting a season long deal is doubtful.

So is 'til Xmas any more likely, Nodge, or perhaps another month or 2 at best ?

For me, I think this lad is well liked at Spurs and doubt they would want to commit him to us long term, especially with injuries to Dawson and Kings well documented history. Oh and Woodgate.

However, as it stands, he gives NW the chance to get Orr 100% fit and not rush him back and provides good cover at CH beyond that.
And with Ramage out long term and Hall being Hall (or Matthew Rose, or Chris Plummer) he'll provide great cover if anything happens to Connolly or Gorkks.
With a suggestion he can also play centre mid, that gives us even more options.

So a very astute loan and also good to see NW not willing to settle with un natural full backs.
I'm referring to Legs at RB - round peg / square hole.

                          dont get it, why not?
he cant play for the y!ds this season can he?
they want him to play every week to gain eexperience, and if he is doing so here then why would they take him back to make the tea or send him to scunthorpe instead?

Also thought he was superb last night. Didn't put a foot wrong all game, agree that you would of thought he was our player originally! Great to see.

Xmas is certainly feasible. Anything after that depends on Tottenham's "out" activity in the transfer window. If Hutton is sold, very doubtful that Walker will be allowed out on loan as he would be needed as cover for Corluka.

He's already played in the PL this season and is in the PL squad.
