When people said he only got 8 last year I said, look he was playing in a shite Plymouth team. And voila he's already got 6!

Benny, I've praised you on another thread for your perception on exactly this point. Well done, and more to the point, well done Jamie.

I'm only having a laugh though Stain...none of us get it all right. I just always thought Mackie stood out whenever I saw Plymouth.

Pleased he's doing well, and he's from just up the road from me. I fancied him to do well, but didn't expect the goals to come like this for him. Top lad.

Ask jeffro what he said about him, and Clarke. We have a £20 bet that between them they score 20 goals this season.

Mackie 19 and Clarke 1, you could be right.

Not one to gloat either, but I do believe I was singing from the same hymn sheet.

Agyemang started in similar fashion when he first signed.

Don't get me wrong, I love Mackie. Just a small tale of caution.

                  Theres only one Jamie Mackie............

He was absolutely fantastic last night, and he is loving the Rangers fans

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

I always said Aggy would fail...even during his purple patch.

For me, there is a big difference between the two players. Mackie is far more determined and ready for the battle.

Funnily enough I was just thinking about Mackie's start and how it compared with Agyemang when he first arrived.
Whilst it would be great if Mackie's scoring run continues, I'm sure everybody realises that there will come a time when he hits a barren spell.
The difference is that Mackie's style of play makes things happen, not just for him, but for the team. And because he is a chaser of lost causes, he will get the odd "poacher's goal" as well.
                      Great signing.

Mackie got 5 league goals for Plymouth in 40 odd games last year, 6 in 6 for us already!

With only 14 goals to go, if he stays fit, Mackie will get the 20 himself. The signing of Smith seems to have made him work harder and run faster to keep his place. I was one of the small % on here who was well happy we got him as I rated this guy for his work ethic.

We should get Jamie on a 6-7 year contract.

Yes Paul I still dont think CLarke and Mackie will get 20 goals.
Mackie will go close on his own and Clarke wont even score.

And for the record people, the bet is £20 for the tiger cubs, not into Mr Mason's sky.

Leicester Saturday, Whats your view on dropping Mackie as clubs now know he's a danger? Maybe drop Adel too
