  • A great Saturday for Amelia the Mascot

Last week I left a message that my six year old Daughter was going to be a Mascot. There were lots of good will messages from posters, thanks for those guys.

We got to the main entrance before 1:00pm and had a tour around all the areas behind the scenes. The Resturant, the executive boxes, including Amitsbut the best bit was the changing rooms The Home one was air conditioned, a separate physio area and separate showers. Then we went to the Away Dressing Room :pleasantsuprise: NO air conditioning It seemed not as well lit, and the physio bench was in the middle of the communal shower area I was told that this was quite normal Now what I want to know is what happens in new Stadia ? Do they design the away changing rooms without air conditioning

Anyway Amelia had a wonderful time, we took loads of photos and she got autographs from all her favourites. I was very proud After, Amelia and my wife had tickets in X block and she said it was very noisy The great thing was the 3 points. Lets have a repeat tonight

Mate, it could not have gone better To have you're daughter as a mascot, wonderful, for us to be top when this happens Brilliant, To win the game 3:0 against the pre season favorites in front of a big QPR crowd, out of this world or should I say priceless

Glad you and your daughter both enjoyed it. I too would be interested to know about other teams away dressing rooms. I remember reading stories about blocked toilets and not changing light bulbs at LR but haven't heard too much about anywhere else.

I was a mascot back in the 80's. Remember the pitch invasion against Man City... Yeah that was me who run out only for loads of Rangers fans to steam onto the pitch and sit in the center circle. Never got the chance again!!!

poor lad lol, still it was for a good cause as the merger was at large.Still think we should of steamed the City fans as a top mob of 200 plus that day on ze pitch including a lot from the naughty section {then] of the ellersie stand.

Most away changing rooms are basic....even worse at non league level, not even cleaned, cold showers etc. Anything to put the other team off, common sense imo.
