Personally not that bothered, we'll get him on loan anyway, though the benefit of that being, if he doesn't perform, then we can send him back. Thus saving the transfer fee, so may be a good thing.
Dan i was thinking same thing.Although i read somewhere, that if the deal was agreed between the club and it was just an admins error in getting the deal through in time, then the transfer would still count in next transfer window.Only trouble is, we would lose him for the Pompey game and several games in december....but i may be wrong

you are not wrong,BUT we will have Rowlands and Cook back by then so not to bothered, more concerned that we get the likes of Roberts in on loan now, especially as Hulse is not fit.
I'm surprised that the Football League aren't trying to help Portsmouth. It's not good for the game to have a club struggling financially and casts doubt on its image as a business.

Ah but they are not called Arsenal or Spurs are they
The Spurs transfer went through late......been admitted by the League I thought?
Although not th end of the world it isn't great news as loan isn't that great - he could go elsewhere before we sign a deal,he may be less comitted etc etc.

Agree with that - always a bit concerned about the committment issue with loanee's but if its view to a perm, maybe that committment will be there. On the other hand, one loan in the side compared with what we had last year, is not that bad really.

No. It went through at 17:57 on 31 August. Confirmed by the PL at the hearing on 1 Sept.
Also - the Football League and Premier League are two distinct and seperate organisations.
Just because the PL pushed through the late deal of Lars Jacobsen to West Ham doesn't mean the Football League should do likewise.
