How long did it take us to attempt to make this signing, we are the joke, we've ****ed up not the FA who are just doing their job.

Reguardless wheather we've fooked up or not,it's still a poor response time from the F.A

I am guessing all that wrangling and finger pointing takes a while. Particularly with Warnock involved.

Is it really, you have no idea of the dialogue which has gone on between all the clubs involved and the FA your just making an assumption.

As far as the FA are concerned its a probably a complete joke that clubs conduct their business in this way, why should they continually bend over backwards particularly for teams like Pompey.

Why was the deadline 6pm anyway??? The deal was completed on the 31 August and the window should of shut at 24h00 on the dot like it did in scotland. What is the difference anyhow? he will still be wearing blue and white hoops on Saturday, bloody bureaucrats.

imo this works for us better than a perm signing. 1.5m in our standards is alot of money to be spent.. we save that now and can use it in january if smith doesnt produce the goods.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                      Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

You also have no idea of the dialogue between the clubs,so how can you assume that we could've tied this deal up sooner?Pompey may have only wanted to release Tommy on the condition that they seal the transfers their after?Hence why everything went to the wire, and found ourselves in this position.

I personally think a loan suits us fine .

See how Smith gets on till January ...If he's worth buying then he'll be cheaper than he is now!!

If he's no good then ..no harm done ... send him back and go shopping again as Neil has already alluded to !!!

As he will be only a loanee at the time I guess this would rule him out of Pompey away on 09 November?

                                Yep.

Plus he will miss 4-5 crucial games in December.

                                Not good news at all.
