I personally think it's a very plausable move. Southampton are a bigger club as well, and Ollie could easilly get them back to CCC football.
There is as much chance of this happening as there is of a top class premiership forward, who's more than capable of shining in the Champions League, dropping down to play for a CCC club...
...Oh, wait...Your mum would love me...

Who would the "other" prem manager be I wonder (assuming that it's true that 2 applied). Do they mean of current incumbents? If so, I can't really see another candidate. Holloway's application looks very plausible given the circs. Though I'd imagine the Villa job will freeze top level moves (till Houllier decides one way or anther anyway). Who else would be planning to go from the Prem do we think? ( while I can see some may be nearing the exit involuntarily I don't see another obvious "jumper"!)

Martin O'Neill, Phil Orange, and Nigel Adkins at Scunny are the bookies favs.
Personally, I think Adkins will go there.Final Version - Hope you like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1z0UQ0eqRM

I also wondered if it really meant two managers with Prem experience. In which case the net is much wider. Indeed our own Neil is in the frame. And it is close to home for him.
Maybe Coppell has "got over it" and fancies moving to a town full of sailors and various other shirt-lifting types.
:pleasantsuprise:
Allardyce too ambitious to drop. His ego wouldn't stand it. He thought he should have got the Engl;and job ffs. Perhaps Martinez getting retaliation in first? But really these (and no others) make sense so I think it is BS

its very likely it will be the last time in his life he will ever get to go to those places without paying

Blimey - really! That's shocking. Grant must have an eye to his back (always!) but that is premature and a half isn't it?!
If true, they do like mixing up that Pompey/Saints managerial whirlgigy don't they! Pay back for Rednapp perhaps! I can't see anyone (anyone at all) wanting Grant! Like a fat Paul Hart. With slightly worse grasp of the language
