Common sense will tell u that we will also have to loan smith.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

i still doubt it. im not one of the people who brought into the lawerence deal had to be done before they sold him.
1.5 million is the most that man will ever fetch in this lifetime and they know it.
they would of been biting our curry filled hands off i reckon, no matter who was coming or going in their world.

Yeh maybe between now and January we can see if Smith is worth the money, and if not we could spend more wisely. It could be a blessing in disguise.

I assume the deal will be agreed now. Stops us backing out if he's crap, and stops them upping the price if he's a major success.

TBH it would be the best thing to get him on loan, no way can I see the board shelling out more than 1.5 mil

Does make me laugh how people are trying to put a positive spin on getting Smith on loan instead of on a perm.

I don't, it will be much lower figure but with add ons based on goals, appearances and whether we get promoted. Pompey will of course want to large it, much as we would if we were selling.
18th August 2011. The day we got our Rangers back

Who knows? That's the price quoted in many media circles rightly or wrongly.

The ITK brigade on here were absolutely adamant the Smith transfer would go through & we were all panicking for no reason. That turned out to be pony so if we hear a figure mentioned we have no reason to not believe it.

Would imagine it's the same as the Helguson loan, which means he's basically ours.

To be fair cos everyone at the club were convinced that it was ok
