I reckon about 15thou as well, quiet a reasonable gate, but should be higher.
Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.

I think it's a big match because they are a big team. Despite their sluggish start they will be there or thereabouts come May and a real test for us this Saturday. Remember Burnley were bottom after 4 games just two seasons ago and finished in the top 6.

Agree with your cautious aproach sir pie but I think your overrating them.

The problem is they are seen as a big club but that doesn't mean anything. It doesn't guarentee a top half finish and infact it doesn't mean they will stay up, just look at clubs like Leeds, norwich and southampton to prove that. I can only judge on what I saw when they played sheff utd, another side that are really struggling. You can see the pressure it there for boro to win but they don't have much quality in there side. I think it we can mark Boyd out of the game because he can finish and will be decent for them then I really don't see them causing us to many threats. The passing from there midfield was shocking. I expect us to dominate that area and win the game, come on u rrrr's
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

To be fair, I am guessing the "big match" thing was determined pre-season when this fixture was identified as a category-A-type fixture which might well sell out (They were bookies ante-post favourites after all) . Meaning a good turn out of Rangers who only go occassionally who might be tempted back more often with a bit of effort made by the club to persuade them. So they have badged it as "big match" (yuk) and laid on a series of family-based events either side of the match. I imagine this is also why attendance at McBoro gets you a discount on the next game - to keep them coming so they get hooked. Quite clever if you ask me. And hats off for the kiddie stuff. Gives them better choice than sitting in an empty stadium or watching the old fella have a beer.

I should have added that I think this match being given this treatment is just the first of a few that will get the same during the season. That is certainly the inference from the blurb on the official site.

We got just over 12k for Scunny. Which was awful. looked more there though. You`d expect your lowest crowd against them. I expect 14k on saturday, Bot Boro don`t travel that well, even when the`re near thr top the NEVER have filled their allocation at LR.
