Might have something to do with them only have a squad of 21. They had to include him.

SirPie a question. If we loan Roberts doesn't that mean they can't bring in another signing because he has been included? Surely if he was coming to us they wouldn't of waisted a place that they won't get back???
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                    del boy

i've had a sift through and surprisingly its not had much effect

kightly is injured at Wolves anyway, all other clubs seem to have been able to get around it.

                    Luke Moore anyone?

Shame but life goes on, we have a decent squad so lets not get too down hearted
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

The ruling states that a player named in the 25 man squad can't be replaced once he's named but it doesn't matter because Blackburn can't sign anyone to replace him anyway and they don't have a squad large enough to either. This part of the rule only applies to those with large squads for example if a team name a 25 and then send one of those players out on loan they can't replace that player with someone who didn't make the original 25.

If Allardyce is confident with the young strikers in his squad then he'll have them along with the two Diouf's and Benjani as options. But with El Hadj playing wide right and Mame and Benjani starting up top he's only got youngsters on the bench meaning that Roberts could still be needed. They wanted to sign more strikers yesterday but didn't and for this reason I think it is unlikely now that he'll go out on loan and even if he did it would have to have a recall option to cover their backs. It's plausable that we could sign him and he returns to Blackburn after just one game if they do get injuries/suspensions.
