Aston Villa have submitted a final 22-man senior squad for the Barclays Premier League campaign.
New rules for the 2010-11 season will see all top-flight clubs register a maximum of 25 players with the Premier League today, following the closure of the transfer window yesterday.
Changes can be made to the squad when the transfer window re-opens in January.
New signing Stephen Ireland is named in the claret and blues squad, along with Togo international Moustapha Salifou and reserve stars Eric Lichaj, Jonathan Hogg and Isaiah Osbourne.
But, on top of the listed players, Villa will also be able to utilise players under the age of 21, such as Marc Albrighton, Nathan Delfouneso, Barry Bannan, Ciaran Clark and Fabian Delph - all of whom have featured regularly in the first team squad.
SQUAD: Brad Friedel, Brad Guzan, James Collins, Carlos Cuellar, Curtis Davies, Habib Beye, Richard Dunne, Eric Lichaj, Stephen Warnock, Luke Young, Stewart Downing, Jonathan Hogg, Stephen Ireland, Isaiah Osbourne, Stiliyan Petrov, Nigel Reo-Coker, Moustapha Salifou, Steve Sidwell, Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor, John Carew, Emile Heskey.

Clubs do not have to name 25, (as they were talking about Spurs they said they can name 24 and add the new guy once its completed)
With everyone else, what he said that means is, 'if you have named under the 25 then you can add to it at any time, for example free transfers, but as he said you don't see many of those in the Prem'Last edited by 80sCasual; 01-09-2010, 04:36 PM.Queens Park RangersNPower Champions 2010/2011

And there are some seriously good players available.
The fact that Roberts didn't get signed by a Prem team leaves him with only 2 options.
Stay at Blackburn, and not play... or go on loan to a non-Prem club.
We'll see.
I haven't really looked at players in other positions, so not sure on names... but one player who is available on loan is Patrick Van Aanholt from Chelsea. Young, quick Dutch left back, who did very well at Coventry last season, and almost joined us before he went to Cov. I think the state of our club at the time put him off.
Just an option, off the top of my head.
There are plenty of others, and we're in a very good position to take our pick and compete for one or two diamonds.
