  • Now I don't know the exact figures, but...

    Allegedly, we've nicked...

    Paddy Kenny - £900k
    Bradley Orr - £400k + Damo (£500k?)
    Clint Hill - Free
    Shaun Derry - Free
    Adel Taarabt - £600k-£1m
    Leon Clarke - Free
    Jamie Mackie - £500k
    Rob Hulse £750k-£1m
    Tommy Smith - £1m, maybe £1.5m?

So, for all of that, we've spent out around £4.15m/£4.65m up front, as well as sending a player worth around £500k. With a couple of add-ons which could take an extra £650k, I think we can safely say our board have backed the manager. It will be interesting to see if those who threw their toys out and slagged the board via their signatures will now repay the board by turning up?

Anyway, not only does this prove the board backed NW, but it also shows NW to be fairly shrewd as I think that list of players ALL for under £5m up front is a bargain. Truely great business there and I think we've now got strength in depth.

Credit where it's due...Well done to all those involved. Outstanding work, and it must have been very trying for them.

Onwards and upwards once more...COME ON YOU RRRRRRRRRRRRRRssssssss
    Your mum would love me...

im very happy with our acquisitions and who we've kept i.e helguson, buzsaky.

i do remember interview on bbc from warnock saying before taarabt we'd spent 900k on 6 players.. so maybe figures for kenny and mackie arent as high as some believe?
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I agree with you Benny, and so far have done really well, but I'm not being over optimistic, we'll see how much of a bargain they've been come the end of the season.

and boy has he spent it well.
i think warnock will go down as one of the best and most loved managers we have ever had , i really do.

I agree with casual it is fair to early to judge how much of a bargain these new signings are. If we don't make the playoffs then we as a club have failed.

I will be at middlesborough but I would of been there regardless of our 2 new signings. I have supported the club through thick and thin and that includes league 1, so I don't know why some fans on here treat others like glory hunters, it really doesn't make any sense. I also don't blame fans for voicing there concerns on a messageboard.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

This is what winds me up Weare; like you I have seen us lose 4-2 in the rain at Chesterfield in 3rd tier of English football.

Because I voice my concern, and rightly so regarding strikers, I am now deemed as some lesser fan, and have been "proved wrong".

The people who treat us like glory hunters are the ones who need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Come on guys - In all honesty does it really matter what we have spent? Clearly if you were told that we'd have that list of players come September the 1st and also be top of the league would you pay your money to support your team? Why people are so hell bent on knowing how much we actually spent is beyond me. When we never had a pot to **** in we all come together and supported the team and back then we signed some w@nk players. Yet now, finally after the takeover, when we actually look like a half decent side with some decent players who belong to our club, we have hordes of supporters who turn their backs on the club and want to pick hole in the most minuet details.

FFS lets again stand together. Jump on board and join the ride. You never know you might actually enjoy it!

Jeffro don't feel like you have to prove yourself on a messageboard fella. It's fairly easy to make a logical assessment of who the followers of our football club are on this messageboard and who comes on here to keep up to date with the goings on at QPR. Don't rise to the bait fellow. There is a few trolls kicking around on here but at the end of the day pretty much all of us are QPR whether they go or not.

unfair. he hasnt played nearly enough for QPR to make that sort of assessment. he has an assist to his name too.
