  • "Subject to clearance by the Football League"

Sorry if this has already been asked and sorted, but every report I read about the two signings qualify the the announcements by ending with "subject to clearance by the Football League".I'm probably being a dumb sh*t,but are the deals safe? Thanks in advance.

It could be that with so many deals going on in one day, the football league are swamped with paperwork. So it will take until tommorow to get it all in order and make things official. I would say not to worry.

Yeah standard really on transfer deadline day FA don't have enough time to go through all the deals that arrive at 5 to 6!

Well at least these two signings were announced on the day unlike the Arshavin deal (at least 24 hours after the deadline) a couple of years ago...

I think its just to make sure that we got all the relevant paperwork to the FA before the 6pm deadline. If we did, then they are rangers!
