It's clear from reading the papers this morning that Varney was heading our way - Blackpool came in with a last min bid

Also not the case that Derby wanted to get rid - they couldnt afford to keep him as further monies were due to Charlton if he played again

A loss in my opinion - and that added to Ambrose and Walters mean that Warnock has missed out on a number of targets

Let's hope the rumours re Roberts Hulse and Smith are true - i have my doubts!

Come on now...despite his goal yesterday, I'd hardly say we've missed out. He's decent, but not class. Walters was a miss for me, and Ambrose, as good as it would have been to mug those Palace ##### of their prized asset is a massively over rated player. Not done much since NW left them, and he's currently playing for a side who've failed to look like winning since the opening day...even then they were lucky.
