    That was a day out!

Took the Mrs and 3 kids, had a Mcdonalds instead of beer and headed to the ground via a ****ing long queue to buy a ticket.....

Bottom line was no plan B today, they crowded the midfield and rushed our play and we didn't know what to do other than lump it long.

Savage got the better of Taarabt mentally, coupled with the crowded play Adel just didn't get in the game. His only chance was the first shot on goal when it was on his left and he forced a good save and someone, Helguson I think shot straight at the keeper from the rebound for another save. Derby then took control and pretty much had it their own way. Commons was good for them but was taken off just before half time with an injury so thought we would do better 2nd half.

It was clear we didn't have a change of gear today and was missing that spark. Faurlin had a frustrating game, as did Orr. Ephraim looked more like the player from last season,Mackie for me was probably our best player, he chased balls forward and back and took on players when out wide.

Cue the 90 minutes at 0-2 down and a quarter of the impatient R's following leaving to the chant of "cheerio, cheerio, cheerio" & subsitute Aygemang picks the ball up about 6 yards into their half with one defender to beat so he runs at him does him for pace and send a bobbled left footed shot into the corner, 1-2 and no more than 2 minutes left! Derby for me then make the cardinal sin and just lumpthe ball into space in our half presenting us with the ball again. We forced a couple of corners in the last minute, Derby break and are 4 on 2, Kenny then pulls off a good save. Straight down the other end and it looked like we weren't gonna score. Somehow Mackie gets himself goal side of his marker and from just inside the box shoots........................2-2 and I actually saw stars from the full 10 minutes delirium that followed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ran to the front as did most fans and rejoiced with strangers, kissing grown men on the cheek and chanting back at the cocky Derby fans who had been larging it up seconds before! My mrs meanwhile had stayed in her seat and been ounced upon by other fans who had headed down from the top! Pure MAGIC today.

Played shite, scored 2 late goals and overall feels like a win, got home in 1 hr 40 mins as well.

I can count on less than 1 hand a goal meaning and being celebrated as our 2nd goal today was! I'm still smiling!
