He did not get arrested by police, just ejected by stewards, police took his details just to inform QPR which is procedure with everyone, He was not put on a train by them they let him out ground and told him to get a cup of tea.

Nobody got ejected yesterday for just flipping a quick winker gesture... blimey, at one point about 1000 of us did it to Savage (when he got involved with ref when their two CBs banged heads). However, persistent abuse/gesturing (and not really watching the game either) will inevitably attract attention of stewards/police. Personally, I find it a bit daft seeing chaps my age (ie balding dads) getting frog-marched out.
