Hulse is a ranger and so is roberts! /merged thread/
Brilliant idea. I think it would improve this place no end, it would certainly make it far less cluttered and easier to navigate. I really think you guys should consider something along those lines.
Considering we're sitting pretty on top of the league I also think its incredibly sad to read all this constant bitching and backbiting. Its as if no matter how much success the club have on the pitch people will always want to find something to squabble over.
then we get accused of over moderating, in reality we as mods cannot win.
Trust me you will earn a lot more respect for this type of Moderation, WATRB gets far more traffic than other sites, there is a lot of crap posted on here, need to nip it in the bud.
Some people on here just need to be heard all the time so they start new threads yet I probably can count on one hand threads started started each week which really get the grey matter going.
I'd delay a threads being posted for review and limit people to a number of threads a day that will sort out those capable of making a worthwhile contribution from those who don't. This theory should only apply to the Main Room though.

we have now started to discuss in staff, so hopefully we can get something sorted for the future.
The problem with giving us mods the power to stop threads from appearing until we say so is firstly what happens if no mods are on? There is no guarantee that a mod will be on and therefore even a thread about a player signing or leaving may not appear for hours after it happens whereas now you are guaranteed to get someone like Morris posting it up within seconds of receiving the text.
Secondly what happens if a member posts a rumour and then one of us mods steals the rumour and casts it off as our own? How could you guarantee that this wouldn't happen?

But this is the thing we don't need 10 people posting up a text message all at once.
Lets be fair we can usually anticipate something happening and I'd imagine there will be Mod on the site when something important is about to happen.
Seriously short term it may be hard work but in the long run it will make your job pretty straight forward IMO.
I can't guarantee that someone won't be dishonest but then again Mods are suppose to be of higher moral fibre than the rest of us

I think the only way you could do it is by having another 5 or 6 mods. The problem if we do that is Pete and Myu or WATRB as a whole get accussed of having too many mods and thinking too highly of themselves.
I've read here and on other forums people saying that WATRB has too many mods already which means if the members want the mods to do even more moderating then surely we'd need even more mods???
I have nothing against any other QPR forum, in fact I regularly view most of them and they are all excellent and all have there own personalities but none of them have the number of posts and members who post frequently like this forum does. 382,278 posts since March last year, which is about 700 posts a day which is a lot to moderate as it is and if you add to that you'll need more moderators.
