Talking about gambling to save a few bob would be commendable were it not for the money already spunked away on the likes of Agyemang, Borrowdale, a zillion ineffective and unnecessary loan signings, and dozens of managers over the last few years.

Fact is, we could go out and get Roberts on transfer deadline day, he could break a leg in his first training session, and we'll be back to HH or nothing.

Money that has been wasted could have been spent on building up the sort of striking options that Cardiff, Forest and Boro have available to them right now. The likes of Keogh, McCormack and Pitman have found new clubs in the last few weeks and would have been ideal with the likes of Roberts added to them. The rest of the division would be cacking themselves if we had those forward options allied to the rest of our squad. What we have instead is a "hope for the best" strikeforce that will inevitably be found out over the course of a long hard season.

Strewth we need AT LEAST two and it's starting to look like a frigging disaster that we havn't signed TWO quality strikers by now!!!!!

That's a very good point, the board may think it's too much of a gamble to fork out. But surely now the board must see that by adding to what we have already can only make us more poweful in this division.
