If my some miracle we manage to sign someone decent (not many decent achievable forwards left) then the club can be praised, but risking the possibility of another mid table season with saving £500,000 when we have the 2nd richest owners in the game is not worthy of praise IMO.
Pretty much nail on head ....

Players wages, transfer fees are not the reason why we haven't got strikers in. As a club we are still not that attractive yet. A couple of wins against mediocre opponents ( Sheff Utd aside) doesn't mean we'll be challenging come the end of April. With our recent track record its gonna take at least a season til players from other clubs see us as a decent proposition. Whats to say the Mittals wont want out if we slip down to 15th /16th?

We must trust them and NW and should not expect too much too soon.Rome was not built in a day! With Warnock at the helm I fully expect us to win promotion with whoever up front, as I've said on previous threads we have goal scorers all over the pitch, 4 or 5 players are capable of 10 - 12 goals each. So lets not panic, sit back and enjoy what we have in front of us. Onwards and upwards!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Agree. It's crazy to think that since the takeover the likes of Hull, Blackpool, Stoke and Burnley are (were) all more attractive than us. All of them had one thing in common though is that the manager who started the season (along with a Pre Season) was still there at the end of the season.

Although our squad doesn't look fantastic in terms of depth the most important thing is having unity and consistency.

walters is the only player we should be gutted we didnt get, and he didnt want to come.
this manager will NEVER buy a agemayng or a vine, and for that we should all praise the lord for the sake of our club.

This has been our best start to the season for yonks. Not only have we yet to concede, but we are averaging 3 goals a game.We are top and looking good.

I didn't travel to the Sheffield Utd game but have watched both home games. In fairness, the opposition has been mediocre to say the least. However, we can only beat what is in front of us.

If we could keep the same eleven fit and free from suspensions all season, we would have a good chance of being in top 6,maybe higher.

I'm also confident we will get a result this weekend V Derby. But our squad is thin and that worries me.

Lose 3-4 players and we could look mid table at best.

I hope we pull a rabbit or two out of the bags before Wednesday as it would be a shame after such a good start and with fans feeling confident, that this could go to waste if we do not push on.

If that's another hint towards Leon Best ...then I'm guessing the gamble of waiting for strikers HASN'T paid off!

We have Ok cover in most areas ...however lose Helguson and we have nothing to replace him with!

Well that shoots down Pete's rather strange argument (we should be kind to pete however, he is doing his best to defend his masters).

A further report this morning also says the Premier League are thinking of banning all loans to stop clubs such as Man City stockpiling players.

Pete - we might snaffle someone half decent on loan who may or may not show a professional attitude when they come to us, but plse don't then present this as some brilliant masterstroke by the board - plse, for your own reputation.

Is that the same "over the moon" we would be with all the star strikers we were about to sign? You do have some front mate.

                                im not worried whatsoever.
we will get a couple of good strikers, and that is a stone wall certainty.
warnock is to shrewd to rush in and offer big money for has beens, hence kitson and roberts not here (yet).
he was gutted walters didnt want to live on london, and so were most fans, bet he would of been great for us.
but he will get us a top man, and when he does the final part of the jigsaw will be in place.
we have panic brought far to often and ended up making donkeys rich for doing nothing, thank god them days are long gone, and everyone here wants to play for us and wants the same thing, premiership football.
