  • Walters was wanted as a main striker - not winger

''We need two good strikers but we lost one of them to the Premier League [Walters having joined Stoke City]."

Walters is not a good striker, he is a good winger.

Did say helguson had more to fear than Mackie or Hogan. With Walters he can play up front.
No real point talking about it now, as he has gone to Stoke, but sure he would have played up front.

considering his goalscoring record is 30 in 136 i think it is worth talking about because his scoring record is poor and i would rather see us sign a player that scores rather than pay £3million for a player that scores a goal every 4.5 games (which was warnock's number one transfer target)

Whoever we get in, as long as our midfield stay relatively injury free should score goals because we'll create plenty of decent goal scoring chances in pretty much every.

Plus if Warnock said or thought he was the main man for our job then who are we to question his judgement with his track record.
