we dont want to break the wage structure for aged players who clubs want rid of and noone else wants.
cos when we go up, we will be signing pure class players to keep us up, and they will want double whatever the grandads like roberts and kitson would be on. so give them 30k then the real good players will want 60 and we will collapse and do a portsmouth
its called bidd niss.
Is everyones wages too high?We only have billionare owners, they must be a bit strapped for cash.......
This isn't a dig, but the financial status of the owners is irrelevant. If we start paying players £30k per week, and we fail to go up, we'll be hemeraging money faster than ever. They are spending cash and backing the manager. They were prepared to stump up £3m for Warnocks favoured target.
We're a small club, so let's not kid ourselves into pretending we can match the big boys on wages. We'll be lucky to have a club in 4 years if we start going down that route mate. Top of the league, playing some great football and we still can't sell out. Even if we did, paying out wages like that is still suicidal.
i still find it hard to understand how portsmouth can pay his wages ?
i thought they needed to get players off there wage bill
Which was why we showed an interest in Tommy Smith I believe. What happened to that. He was on the verge of signing a couple of weeks ago, according to the press.
As Benny and Gtp said, we can and shouldn't pay over 20k for championship players that cant get in pemiership teams, I believe adel is on 21k, that should be the highest!
