This is getting beyond a joke, how many strikers do they need, and with no money either.

Because I imagine we try to get players on the cheap and insist on ridiculous clauses like if he scores more than 5 goals per Month the selling club has to pay us another 100k etc. etc.

Just pay up and get the deals done for a change!

            Keogh, a great striker...Really?

Another striker that I'd be more inclined to stick with HH that go for him.

Every time a striker moves, we're gonna get the same threads come out.

I read somewhere that Chops is out until Xmas?

Not sure if there is any truth in that though?

Benny this is no dig at you mate but even you must be getting worried now and I mean this in a way where we both love our club and want whats best.

Signing a striker is a must and with helguson our only half decent striker in the whole squad things are getting desperate. Yes I am delighted we have had a great start but its 3 games but we have another 43. Again don't want to come across as sarcastic but come on you must expect threads like this. Yes we can still loan but do you really believe that is the way for this club to carrying on moving forwards???
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                      Not really, no.

Of course I know we need another striker or two, but 9 goals in three games shows that we're hardly struggling. Add that to the fact NW has stated several times he's getting two more in makes me feel that he has things under control. He missed out on Walters and is now focussing elsewhere. He seems to believe we'll have one or two in by Saturday, so that's good enough for me.

Ok, if the likes of Chopra, Kitson or Roberts go elsewhere, then threads like this have substance, but Andy f**king Keogh...Come on. Many say the likes of Best and Varney are average at best, but what has Keogh done in his career to warrant him being such a big miss? 42 league goals in 218 appearances is hardly supreme.

Edit...To add...Half of those goals came below this level.

He is right though, it is a little silly that everytime any team anywhere signs a striker someone on here decides to start a thread about it...

I think as a club we are makeing abit of a meal of signing a striker, but Neil Warnock wants to get the right players in and not just panic buy. We'll see before the window shuts if it pays off...

Worrying? Yes and no.But when it comes to the strikers merry go round, it's usualy the same old names touted about.Season after season you hear about Stead Hulse Scotland.Scotland may have been worth a punt,Mcormack @ Cardiff but he has been out injured.

Clearly it is not helping our cause that we cannot shift the dross we have and that will be pulling against our purse strings.

Should we have gone for Simpson?Maybe, but clearly Warnock didn't rate him.

I expect to see quite a few transfer over next 5-6 days, which is also worring because teams tend to make panic buys, but also if carefully you can pick up a bargain.

We are still light as a squad and appear to not be linked to many players at moment.

Tocsic(i know he is not a striker) came from nowhere. The Kitson saga makes me laugh. Not from our perspective, but from his.Obviously not wanted as Stoke continue to bring players in in front of him....I thought he would have lept at chance to actually play football for another club, albeit at a reduced wage.I suppose as some might say, watch this space.
