Following the radio programme on Monday evening, I would like to think we could move on and hopefully can put the past behind us. We have all said things in the past that we regret and allowed things to be posted that in hindsight should never be allowed. In regards to the programme, no-one knew what would happen, who would ring or email.
I will go on record in apologising to Paul Finney if the post regarding his daughter was not taken down when it should have been. I cannot be responsible for what other people write, but should have been more the ball at the time and removed thit much earlier. This was a good 3 years ago and at the time, I did apologise in person, but its not about scoring points at this stage so I will go on record again to say sorry if upset was caused.
I still maintain everybody in this episode which seems to have lasted for an enternity try to score points over each other, and whilst its calmed down much more recently it still simmers from time to time. Just for the record, I have been asked to reply on qpr-reports messageboard, something that I am unable to do as I am banned, which is probably the best way forward as it prevents further arguments from taking place.
The moderators on this board have done a great job over the past few months and I think its fair to say people/posters from both sides of the arguments have been banned, so this site is certainly not-one sided.
I don't want to from this point further make any derogatory comments towards anyone, though in the heat of the moment and based on passion and our beliefs, we should be allowed to say what we feel on a variety of subjects. Most of the time its purely banter, its important it does not go overboard. I for one am not going to change my views overnight, don't expect others to either and whilst we all disagree, it should be amicable and without lowering ourselves to personal abuse. It is totally up to other boards if they want to follow a similar line or allow the snide comments to continue I've to grow very thick skin too and a number of untruths have been posted , name calling and and often it has been difficult to get on with supporting the team we all follow. As, I say thats up to them, but this site wont carry on in that direction. It should be a forum, that no-one feels afraid about posting and offer a variety of subjects in which we can talk about the club.
With the club 2 points clear and going in a new direction with Warnock leading the team and the board trying to ensure the good times come back, personally feel its important to move on. I get strangers coming up to me appreciating all the hard work that goes into this site, in many cases it brings fans of this great club together too.
On the show Monday night it was all about passion for me and I guess for other people that took part. We all have one thing in common and that should not be forgotten we all support QPR and every fan should be treated with respect. For me, I want to see the club win things, bring the good times back and it would be great to match both the Hillsborough experience and The Play Off experience at some point this season.
In a nutshell, the club is moving forward we the fans need to do the same.
