  • Are We Looking In The Right Place For Strikers?

Both Roberts and Kitson are struggling to get into a Premiership club and we apprently 'want' them whilst promising strikers such as Pitman goes to Bristol, a proven goalscorer in Stead goes to Bristol, McCormack looks like he's going to Leeds and players such as Hooper, Sharp and Simpson have also slipped the net. NW says he wants a striker but has he got his blinkers on the Premiership rejects?

I too cannot begin to wonder why we are looking at Kitson - 54 goals in 111 league appearances for Reading - Disgraceful

yeah I think we are going for kitson and roberts because they are low risk signing. Both proven quality. Why take a risk on a player that has been scoring goals in league 2?

Worked in the 90's but very rarely works these days as we all want instant success.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

chunks let his weight slip over the off season and his head was filled with broken promises from his agent. We will come good once he hits his form again.

Pitman - has everything to prove so is not the sort of player to get us promotion this season.
McCormack - had one good season for Cardiff but nothing since, why would we want him?
Simpson - Would not fit into the system we play, lets face it he struggled within the system end of last season, remember?
Hooper - I doubt we could have match the wages Celtic are paying, what do you expect? Plus to be honest again I do not think he would fit into our system and would struggle for us.
Sharp - Good at small clubs when there are no expectations, did nothing at Sheff Utd
Stead - is an average Championship player who will not get more than 10 goals this season.

Roberts and Kitson (as long as they come with the right attitude) will be excellent in the championship, they have proved in the past they can play and score at this level, so its all down to attitude.
