helguson will get 8 (2 already and 6 as sub), the others will get zero cos they will be shipped out or cleaning boots and making tea for the youth team.
kitson will get 18 or roberts will get 22. (whichever one comes)

WHEN we get one of them mate.
this club WILL NOT, repeat WILL NOT go through this season without a proven goalscorer in this league to keep us at the top.
neil is one of the most experienced people in football, and the near richest men on the planet who come from a tiny island called britain, know how to earn money and what it takes to do so. trust me on that.

I love GTP's optimism but I'm hoping rather than expecting any signing this week.

Sorry but disagree totally with this. how have "we missed out" on players who were never targets?

This goes for all the other players you have mentioned. We don't really know how many of those supposed targets we actually bid for.

As for McCormack and Keogh, well they may be better than what we have, but it doesn't mean they are good enough for us. Surely its better to wait and get the RIGHT personnel in? The targets the manager actually wants? Rather than a "token" transfer to appease impatient fans.

How much money has QPR wasted over the years on duff transfers deals, agents fees, loanees etc?

There is still time for NW to get to get some players in. We all know we need strikers, he definitely knows it!

As for some of the names you mentioned... too many of them seem to be wanting premier wages for playing Championship football. And if they don't get it, they'd rather sit on the bench on not play at all.

If players like that are more interested in a bigger wage packet than wearing the Blue and White Hoops.... then i'm glad we're "missing out".

Interesting question. Partly its because through message boards etc we get to hear about potential deals earlier on, as well as a lot of the twists and turns. Am sure lots of deals have always fallen through, we just didn't hear half of them. That said we do seem to do a lot of chatting up and not much getting the bird into the back of the taxi (to borrow from Mr Holloway). If we do manage to snaffle a Kitson or a Roberts on a good deal (shades of Tabs) then the board, even Paladini, will look like geniuses; if we are reduced to signing Varney or someone on loan then its going to be v disappointing again, particularly if that £3m Walters money is there to be spent. Still not long to wait now either way.

Both may not have been targets, but both are/were available and both are better than what we have so in my opinion we have missed out on them.....

Players are put off due to paladini being at the club. He is a laughing stock within the game, players are well aware of who he is and his reputation and ufortunatley for the near future at least, alot of players will give us a wide berth

Totally incorrect. I don't know the man but I have seen direct quotes from both managers, current and past, and players (most recently damien stewart) praising Gianni.

I have no love or hate for the man but don't start spouting rubbish on this or any other messageboard.

I know for a fact a lot of agents and chairmen do not want to associate with GP. Perhaps my facts are skewed and it's just bad luck I bump into lot's of agents, etc that hate the man. But I have never met anyone that liked him that was not rangers.

I think you are probably right. There are far too many 'nearly' deals that break down at the last minute. Whilst there are always likely to be complications in any deal we have by far more than our fair share.
