Bringing the crowds back - Please read

QPR Face Book Group... anyone fancy setting one up?

I've just been reading the thread from 2Touch about trying to get some sort of atmosphere back at LR and increasing the crowds...

Apologies for starting a completely new thread but I think that a Face Book group that we could all easily access is a fantastic idea. I mooch around on FB most days for a quick butchers and although there's loads of tosh on there it is cool to be able to watch the videos etc but I wouldn't have a clue how to put these up..

Imagine having a video montage of Adel's tricks and then another of Buz's....

Also this would be a good way of stirring the collective loins of the numerous aRm-chaiR fans who are staying away for whatever reason....

It does seem quite lamentable that the football and skill that is currently on offer is only getting seen by a hardcore of between 12 and 14K fans...

I know the average wallet and purse is being hit hard at every turn these days but I don't begrudge a penny of it when we have the likes of Adel Taraabt to marvel at.. F*ck me he does some incredible things with that ball and ok so he sometimes over does things and is a diver but he's a show-off pup and will gradually work out that he needs to iron a few things out...

I guarantee when he's playing for a top European side in the Chumps league you'll be down the pub eulogising about when he was at LR.....

Please could someone set up a FB group or page or whatever so people can post this stuff on their wall or whatever???

I am not sure the owners can do much to get more fans into LR. It appears that some have been so badly p**sed off by Flavio that they can't bring themselves to watch their team, even though they are top of the league. On a previuous thread one poster even said that he would rather go to away matches than give money to QPR. With this type of logic, we are never going to be well supported. No matter what is done, there always seems to be another reason not to come. As others have sais on the subject, if you really want to go to matches you will find a way.

There is something the owners could do-reduce prices! Assuming that this won't happen, what can WE the fans do to get our friends back supporting our team? I don't accept that we can't do anything about it!

Here is my two pronged attack that will simply NOT FAIL to sell as many half season tickets in December as the club wishes to print.

1 - The club stay top'ish of the league playing decent football

2 - Announce that anyone with a season ticket in their possession from 31st Jan 2011 onwards will automatically qualify for a 20% discount in next seasons ticket no matter what division we are playing in.
If the Board are feeling really generous / ambitious make the discount even bigger!

From February onwards, maybe even before, we will be playing to packed houses, the atmosphere will be worth 12 points on the board minimum, the spin off revenue streams will do great business (if you can get someone other than the current clown to harness it) and we'll coast to promotion and all the season ticket holders will say what a bargain next season in the Prem will be even though we'll probably struggle.

Win Win = simples

Obviously a huge part of this involves the team staying in good form.
