  • How's parking

Going to Leicester away, how is it for parking?

Might have a pint near the ground but it looks a little like u need to go into town for that? Also will offer a couple from surrey a lift, if they are willing to contribute in petrol. Cheers.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Last year we parked in a carpark in Filbert Road for a fiver, on the site of the old Filbert Street ground, but it was a bit of a bomb site so worth checking to see if it's still there. Think the council want to close it.
Alternatively, this is on the Leicester website:
    "Parking
No on-site parking is available for away fans on matchdays. The club provides limited parking spaces within easy reach of the Walkers Stadium at Saffron Lane Sports Centre, on a first come, first served basis.

Saffron Lane Sports Centre car park will normally be open from approx mid day on a Saturday match and tickets will be priced at £3.50 sold on a first come first served basis on the day, however if supporters wish to pre book a space they can do so by contacting the ticket office on 0844 815 5000. On an evening match the car park will be open approx an hour and half before kick off."

There's a retail park nearby which has parking. Couple of pubs there. One is alright for away fans.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

one of the better grounds to park at. plenty of little yards and factory/office forecourts charging a fiver, parked behind that hideous electricity station thing behind the away end a few times.

Parked at an old Victorian school once which was only about £3 though it did take about an hour to get out of there as they crammed as many cars in as they could of course
