Savage vs Taarabt!

Paul, I thought your original post had validity, but couldnt see the need to change a winning team. Derby achieved the same job on Adel yesterday and it showed our inadequacies in the fact of 2 or 3 Derby players were picking up Adel & we as a team didn't have the capability to exploit the gaps left by these players picking up Adel, it appears we only have the option to lump the ball if Adel is made to be inaffectual. I did though notice that Adel was not as petulant as he was when Derby came to LR last season which is an excellent sign. That being said we got out of jail - & we are going to have days like that this season

Blimey Paul - you give the impression that you WANT Adel to fail just so it would prove the position you have taken on him through the summer.
We all know that he is of undoubted talent - but prone to moments of selfishness and the odd bad game. Players like him always have and always will.

Well done Paul, you called this one. Let's see if you do it again though. Yesterday could have gone all so differently had the TEAM (notice team not just Adel) turned up.
You can't simply change the side due to one game last season between Sav and Tarbs.
It's also one thing thinking you know how to stop Adel and doing it. Derby have done it twice and Leicester done it once, another 20 odd sides inbetween haven't!

To be fair I don't think Savage done a job on Adel at all. Actually I hardly saw him near Adel for most of the game. I think it was more of a team effort from Derby to nullify Adel's threat. They closed him down well. But as we all no it was a very poor performance for most of the game so Derby got lucky that we were not in top gear like the previous 3 games.

Correct Ric Roc, it wasnt a 1v1, it was more of a 3v1 whenever Adel got the ball.
Not surprised to see you come out of the woodwork though Mason, knew as soon as Adel didn't skin 2 men and score or get a penalty in a game you would be making your snide comments.

"Interested to hear your comments."
In reply to W12_Rangers positive post.
Very snide, and almost feels like you were waiting for Taarabt to have an off game, so you can come on here and play the "I told you so, we should have dropped Taarabt" card.
I noticed you were very very quiet on here after the Barnsley and Sheffield Utd games.
But, hey ho.
