Not long ago Bradley Orr was trying to knock Neil Warnock’s block off.
Now the short-tempered Scouser is delighted to be playing for him in a side that is already looking a good bet for promotion.
Right-back Orr, 27, ended a six-year spell at Bristol City in the summer to go to Loftus Road.
And it was his headed goal that set Rangers on the way to a victory that maintained their 100 per cent start to the season.
Orr loves life under Warnock – but that wasn’t the case in December 2008 when the veteran boss was in charge at Crystal Palace.
City’s 1-0 win was followed by a brawl in the tunnel – and Orr admitted he had been gunning for Warnock.
He said: “I remember we actually squared up to each other, but that’s the character he is.
“He’s fiery and passionate and one of his great strengths is that he gets a team thinking it is them against everyone else.
“He doesn’t care who he upsets – which is the way I like it as well.”
Rangers have not conceded a goal in the league since Orr arrived.
But it didn’t spare him from a rollicking from his new boss. Warnock said: “He can still improve – his heading was abysmal.”
Orr admitted: “I wouldn’t disagree with him. There were four or five that came off the side of my head but one was the goal so I’ll take that all day.”
