  • Best start?

This is after a few glasses of vino but I could have sworn we won 3 out of 3 at the start of 87/88.

    West Ham 3-0
    Everton 1-0
    Chelsea 3-1

Have I missed a draw somewhere?

Remember the season under Jim Smith (1987?), where we played 10, won 8, drew 1 and lost 1 of the first 10 games. We went top, four points clear of Liverpoll, who had two games in hand. They stuffed us 4-0 and, after one more win (v Pompey?) We fell away sharply. I think it was around the time Terry Fenwick left us and I remember meeting him in the cinema I worked in and him leaving two days later!
