  • How much longer is it going to take for crowds to increase?

Just over 12,000 at the game today. We are top of the league and still can't get decent crowds. What is it going to take for crowds to increase? If we are honest about it we are punching well above our weight if you look at our crowds. I can't see how people can moan at the board when they are now starting to deliver their part of the bargain for such little return.

it looked like more than 12k to me.. don't forget scunny didn't bring many and people may still be on holidays or they didn't think this fixture was not going to be interesting (for casual football fans)

I think it will start to pick up it looked a lot fuller 12k today if tbh, I know Scunny didn't bring many but still!

I'm sure with th bigger games to come if we are still near the top games like Boro/Cardiff/Forest/Millwall/Leeds are going to sell!

I knew it was low just by looking around, scunny aint the most high profile of games and they only brought a few hundred...

M'boro will hit the 15 k mark, no doubt...

I was at the game today, and i definitely noticed some of the old banter and joviality returning, also welcomed back a couple of old faces i hadn't seen for a while,i'm afraid all the upheaval and unrest and prices rocketing has driven a helluva lot of fans away, but,i defo heard a lot more positivity in fans wanting to travel to upcoming away games and i genuinely believe, another couple of good results and you will see a lot more returning as they realize this is for good and not just waiting for the bubble to burst as it has done in the past,it is so easy to lose fans, but so much harder to get them back, but with the football we have been playing and our results,it wont be long before we have the "lost" fans returning and the atmosphere we had under ollie,it just won't happen overnight but, believe me it wont be long......U R'sssssssssssssss !!

A couple of quality signings would show board commitment/credibility and imo the crowd will consequently increase

I reckon Scunny had about 250-300 at the most.

A win at Derby next week and there will be a much better crowd against Boro.

The fact it was Scunny is a lame excuse, just over 12,000 for a team top of the table is not good enough, embarrassing actually.
Let's just hope a few more good results, a couple of good signings and better opposition will change it a bit.

Must admit to being shocked at 12K - that's simply not acceptable. It's the sort of crowd Luton would get if they were top of division. If our current form continues we should be at least over 14K for every game (with away followings potentially taking crowd to 16k+).

Disappointing crowd but I think Scunthorpe not bringing many plus it being holiday time made a difference.
The roads in London yesterday were the quietest I have seen in a long time, I think many people have taken 2 weeks holiday to run up to the Bank Holiday.

I reckon come Sept and a big team coming to LR, ie our next home game vs Middlesborough we will get 15k plus.

On the day prices are slightly less than last season and we are playng better football and winning games. Holiday season will soon be over and with respect to Scunthorpe and Barnsley who probably brought no more than 1000 between them we will soon have sides who bring 2-3,000 to the ground.

The ground was full off 3000 brats and Aussies waving plastic rattles at the Leicester game, I'd prefer proper Rangers fans turning up not people who have picked up a free offer in The Standard

To answer the question attendances will steadily rise till xmas, if we are top of league then expect 16-17k for the rest of the season.
