Who is very much beside himself and is already in danger of driving the missus into another room and been advised not to become a QPR bore tomorrow when we have tea with some non-football loving neighbours...
my missus only pays scant interest to humour me and said that all they need to know is that they won and that's it not the minutia of the match and their current situation.................
Well this is unbelievable and unprecedented in mine and most if not all on here's lifetimes I'd wager..... I have tried to educate the missus into the magnitude of the situation but it's lost on her.. in fact she's just said.. "You're gonna be tapping away all night you aren't you" in her best Preston accent..... she's probably right as am going to milk this moment and this week for all it's worth...in fact as.......................... OOO I crush a grape.....
A few observations from the game and my vantage point in X Block in the corner of ER... hideously uncomfortable seating and it seemed like there was less leg room than there is in the lower loft.. must quickly mention the monstrously fat guy of around 30 stone and his slightly trimmer 20 stone missus... how on earth they would have coped if it was packed in there end and had to manage with just one seat each rather than the 7 or 8 they were occupying... now that would have been hideous so I should count myself lucky I suppose... LR is a HORRENDOUS seating experience but the view from my seat was excellent at the School End and as it turned out for us up there a result that both goals were scored in the first half...
Adel Taraabt is a genius in the making if that's possible as he does some amazing tricks and moves... but he's a cheating little f.u.c.k.e.r at times and he needs to cut that out... verminous thing to do keep doing the dying swan act... blimey the ref couldn't have been more clear when he was lecturing him after basically saying CUT OUT THE DIVING....
then when he probably does get caught in the box he goes down as if he been lamped by a Tyson hay maker... it did look incredibly theatrical from where I was sat but, when the ref blew the whistle I, as did the rest of the crowd judging by the general euphoria thought it was a penno and was incredulous but not completely surprised when the ref booked him for what must have looked like or, will be shown by TV replay to be a dive....
I wont hear any excuses about that side of the game he needs to knock it on the head and quickly before he gets a reputation.. especially as if we carry on like this he and the team will come further under the media spotlight and he'll get a reputation amongst refs and managers as a diver... anyway he's young and am sure that NW will want to eradicate that from his game......
NW will become a legend at this club I am sure of it and I get more and more impressed with the job he's doing the more I see the team and hear him on the radio/TV etc.. the football we are playing overall is very pleasing on the eye.... this is NW's last chance in his eyes of making a success of an ailing club and rising to the challenge of getting them promoted and he wants to lose that long ball bully boy thuggish play reputation that he seemed to have.. especially at SU... he's also planning ahead by dipping his toes more into the media trough too which he will have to keep an eye on... but hey, if we're still top whilst he's waffling on the airwaves at either the BBC or Talk Sport Towers it won't bother me but.. woe betide we have a slump I'd want him getting the players in for extra practice but there you go.. fickle or what...![Grin](https://www.wearetherangersboys.com/core/images/smilies/yolks/grin.png)
A few other high-lights were that fantastic take down of the ball by Hogan E near the touchline in-front of the ER stand near to X Block and then he floated in a fantastic cross... If memory serves HH might have headed over... and that leads me on nicely to my next observation....
Heider H... how frustrating is he to watch... that one that he missed in front of the SE was one that he should've scored and I know that the GK pulled off a decent save HH had a third of the goal to aim at and it should have put it in a part of the goal where the GK couldn't pull off one for the cameras as most GK's in this league would have saved that.. then that one whereby he dived full length but missed the ball completely in front of the Loft was lamentable... crikey he could have made himself a hero to the home end had that one fizzed into the top corner but what happens... he ended up looking a chump in stead
.. oh dear... but sandwiched in between this dross was a really clever and well taken goal... lets hope he does eradicate these basic flaws as had it been 0-0 or even worse we were losing 1-0 he'd have been crucified.... Can understand NW's desire to bring in more strikers...
Imagine some really decent top notch CC standard striking options with THAT midfield... we'd all be salivating like a Pavlovian dog....
And what about that tasty bit of skill from Fraulin where he seemed to juggle the ball more often than your average Chav teenager and smacked one over the bar... christ if that would have gone in it would have raised the roof....
So many good things and starting to run out of steam.. and interest but I'll soldier on....
The crowd was CRAP.. come on people I know it was only Scunny but bleeding hell... just over 12K is pretty embarrassing.. where's all you local R's... 63yrs since we've won our first 3 league games and only a pretty low audience to witness something of this magnitude but hey... keep this up and they'll be queuing down the road to get in.... I hate to say it but if we can drag ourselves up from Whitstable then surely a few more can get there within even a 10mile radius...
I was dropped off near a pub on the beach so thought I'd walk along the seafront home and was wearing a T-shirt with QPR FC (in helvecia) and had at least 4 blokes out with their missus' give it the "see your boys are top of the league then" or something similar.. I have to admit I did plump up and puff out my chest whilst walking along a busy promenade and with a lovely cloudy sunset over the Isle of Sheppy it was a very pleasurable walk home indeed I felt the dogs danglies rather than an embarrassed fool with all the recent shenanigans of the past few years....
Got home just in time to kiss junior Ranger goodnight at around 19:45 and found a nicely chilled Sol in the fridge... I was in the garden with my feet up on the decking whilst listening to various lavish R's related praise on either 606 or Talk Sport and the birds were chirping away in the wood just at the bottom of my garden and I thought......
F.U.C.K ME life dosen't get any better than this.....
I feel like the proverbial dog with two sausages.....
I couldn't be happier if my missus was offering me a sex act right here and now whilst typing this.... WHAT A DAY....
TBH... am thinking of trying my luck with the missus to cap off a perfect day.... least us R's boys deserve surely......
I know we shouldn't get too carried away as Barnsley was probably 2-1 at best and 4-0 flattered us and Sheff U should have had a penno but today we were superb...
Am losing the will to live now but a special shout for Sean Derry... had a stormer and that will be an interesting duel between Derry and Savage next week....
U RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR'ssssssssssss... I thank you...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... GET IN THERE!!!!
