That's exactly why we should be up for this game and try to keep the run going for as long as possible. Create a winning mentality and sustain it while everyone else struggles to keep up. I for one will not be happy with a draw at home to Doncaster if we have 21 points from 7 games, it could be the start of the slippery slope. Perhaps I'm hard to please.

A good start is always nice so lets be happy with that but I hear what people say and being top is always going to bring its own pressures. 9 points after tomoz game is what we all want don't we. Take each game as they come, take each month as they come and come May hopefully we have done enough.

Tomorrow is a must win, Derby I'd settle for a draw but a win up there would make it 3 consecutive wins at Pride Park, when was the last time we done that away from home against someone?

Try to build up a good lead and let the others try to play catch-up -- points in hand are better than points in the bush...or something like that.
(Even though our points in hand are in the bush as well...)

And that stat about only one team, leading after the first weekend, going on to get promoted -- well, we all know who that was, don't we?

As above 3 points is 3 points. We play every game to win and see where it takes us.

I hope you are not suggesting that I attempt to look it up ?

Just keep winning until we get 70, 80, 90 points (or whatever you need to go up). I already feel half of you going "Yeah, but let's just get 50 points and safety out the way first". However, I say stuff that! I'm sick of medocrity and low-level thinking. I don't see much to worry about in this division and we have a good chance of automatic promotion with this team/manager. To achieve this we need lots of points and a good string of results; in my view we may as well start now. Let likes of Doncaster dream about nudging into play-offs - we're far far better than that.

its not a 1500 metres and qpr are not seb coe

you just have to grab as many points you can whenever you can, we are playing rubbish or struggling teams so should be getting maximum points from these games. anything less than 3 tomorrow will be a major slip up which we will regret later in the season regardless of what millwall or others do tomorrow

We're not short of a few underachievers in our squad, and so much about who does well in this league is in the mind. The sooner the players develop a winning mentality and realise what they're capable of the better.
