Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts is reported to be heading to QPR on loan as Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to offload the veteran striker.
Roberts was apparently priced out of a loan deal by Blackburn earlier this month, forcing the Hoops to resort to a season-long loan deal.
QPR manager Neil Warnock was keen to avoid a loan deal after maintaining six loan players last season.
Warnock said: “The players we want are expensive, but it could be a case of working something out that suits everybody before we commit ourselves to a big fee and massive wages.”
Roberts is reportedly valued at just over £1m, while Sam Allardyce and Rovers will try to push as many pennies out of the QPR for the player as possible.
