Would you really reconise someone from 20 years that you were not looking out for?

I am now bald, fat and overweight.

Back in 1990, I was a looker, long haired and thin

I think it lights the fire for people when you continually pop up to champion Pete and his support for the club.

I personally never saw Pete at many many away game in early 90's when i went nearly all games away, doesnt mean to sy he wasnt going, but others will look differently at it!
That's rubbish mate, and you know it. People are continually saying that he never went. As I said, I cannot confirm that he did as I've not been told otherwise, but I do know he's always been Rangers. All I' saying is I don't get the unhealthy obsession with him? I won't defend his love for Gianni, just as I won't defend others hate for him, as to me, GP isn't that much of an issue. Everyone claims to have facts about him on a good and bad light. I don't know him, so I won't comment.

And in any case...Why wouldn't I stick up for a mate? There's a small group of about 5-6 of you on here who seem to stick up for eachother and gamg up when you feel it's worth a laugh.

I've never had a problem with any of you, and I hope it continues, but to say I 'continually pop up to champion him' is BS. I think I've spoken up for him on MB's about 5 or 6 times in total...Maybe more, I don't know, but I certainly don't do it weekly, monthly or even Bi-Monthly. I think you have me confused with HA9, who never even knew Pete when he spoke up for him.

Usually I let you lot get on with it as I can't be bothered, but you're all banging on about him as if he's the anti-Christ.

          qprsouth = Brisbane Hoop.

When you meet someone for the first at a QPR match

Guess some in question open up with..

"I've never seen you before at Loftus Road, have you only just supported the club"?

Its like everyone should know them because they got the coach to Grimsby back in the day. At guess about 60 people can get on a coach and that makes you superior?

Just for the record, no I never knew many people 10 years and used to go on the official coach and be bored out of my head

I think its all quite harsh on that site.

If Pete chooses not to go away to Grimsby on a cold tues night, he should hardly be strung up by the balls for it.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I've been supporting Rangers for 40 years and am lucky enough that I have been able to follow them home and away for a big chunk of that.
Certainly in recent years I've managed to get to almost all away games and our support at many of them is very small - yet I rarely see/sit near the same people each time.
There are the regular ones I notice and whilst I don't know them they are recognisable (Joe springs to mind) - but no more than a handful of the people on here would recognise me even though I go all over the place.
I don't do club travel and cannot abide the coach journey because I like to get home quick after - also I live the otherside of town so it's a pain - but like I say I go all over yet you lot don't know me from Adam and wouldn't recognise me either - this whole thread is pathetic - why does anyone need to dig out anyone else unless their own life is that sad it becomes the highlight of their day?

With all due respect Pete, you're doing exactly what they are by assuming brisbane and south are one and the same mate. Assumptions and accusations are what get people into trouble over the net.

Benny your to young mate to understand about Pete's past.

I don't think he was a chelsea fan but you are just posting on what he has told you, so its all hear say. If you were 50 and knew Pete well then you would have an arguement.

At school you get the lad who isnt cool nor a nerd yet the gorgeous good looking girl in the year above loves him to bits.

The lads who are the cool people dont like the attention the average joe bloggs gets so they go out of their way to spread unjustified rumours about him to ensure that joe bloggs doesnt over take them in the playground heirachy.

the cool people arent friends but pretend to be beleiving sticking together with give them the masculinity they crave...tales are exchanged back and fourth as to who has the biggest manhood and who has slept with them most women

rumours soon spread that joe bloggs has a extra nipple and ginger pubes....before joe knows it everyone is against him even thoe girl in the year above.

the self proclaimed cool people are delighted and high five each other at the back of the bike shed yet as time goes on the gorgeous girl still doesnt like them and shows them no attention at all.

the cool people are taken aback and are furious all the effort they put in and the gorgeous girl still doesnt notice them or give them the time of day.

the cool people believe it is joes fault and still hate through one word and one word only JEALOUSY

                        in qpr footballing terms:

                        joe bloggs - QBP
                        cool peole - LSA
                        gorgeous girl - Gianni
Bike shed - downstairs of the SpringBok
biggest manhood / girls slept with - Ive supported qpr since 1880 before we exsited and how many games i go to
                        rumours spread - websites
jealousy - they wish gianni gave them the attention they crave as they feel qbp s threatening to oust them off of the qpr supporters hierachy.

I don't care who people have supported in the past.
My dad's boyhood team was Brighton, and he himself turned professional with Bournemouth.
My mum and hubby were Charlton fans and my first league match (other than Bexley United games) was Charlton v. Shrewsbury in 1967 -- when I was 7. Still got the programme. Fell into supporting Rangers the year after.
But you won't have seen me during the 90's because, like Pete, we had personal body-blows with our children's health, one after another, which knocked the stuffing out of us and rendered me unable to do very much other than keep going from day-to-day.
Only returned in the new millennium -- although my dad kept going and started taking Dan before I, at Danny's insistence (he's very persuasive, as some of you know!) returned to LR.

Does having had a break for personal circumstances make me less of a fan?

The past is not important, the present is, and future more so.
What's important is who people support NOW!
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
