City spending 427m over 2-3 seasons in the Premiership is equivalent to a Championship team spending what, £40-50m over 2-3 seasons?
No one is asking us to spend that kind of money.

In fact without money you are gaurunteed not to be successful now.
Who are the most successful clubs in the leagues? The richest. It's been that way, and increasingly so for years. Man U. Real Madrid. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Rangers and Celtic (in their league) etc etc etc ......you need me to go on?
Look at Chelsea. They have proven that history and fanbase mean nothing. Money = trophies.
Laughing at Man City is premature - they will have won a number of major honours within the next 5 years. They may even be the top club in the UK.
