Routledge is a more gifted player, better first touch, better vision but he's not Prem and it is being highlighted now. It will get worse for him and the grems this year.
Mackie's effort is exceptional. That has already put him in the right place at the right time to pick up two goals Routledge would have miles away from.
I would still rather Routledge on the right.

No. 1 An "underwhelming" signing.
No. 5 Many people's figure of derision.
No. 9 Mr Lightweight himself.
No. 17 Greedy git, not a team player and doesn't like being booed by
his own fans.
No.27 Useless, injury prone waste of space.
Gorkss, Kenny, Derry, Orr & Faurlin also on the list.
Perhaps Jams1234 could find the list which shows the likes of Ambrose & McCarthy making an appearance.

With all due respect to Mackie, he's not nearly as good as Routledge at this moment in time. Routledge was a stand out performer for us whilst he was here, and if he was still in the side, we'd be laughing.
The problem we had with Routs was that he was too good for the side he was in. He's break away and by the time he hit the byline, there was no one for him to lay it off too as they were all too lazy to break into the box.
I think it's harsh to say he's out of his depth in the Prem. He's been fairly unlucky in previous spells. Spuds had Lennon who's an international, and Villa had both Milner and Young for him to compete with. There is no shame in losing out to those lads, whatsoever.
Some will look at the number of clubs he's had, and use that against him. Personally, I admire him. He wasn't ever prepared to sit on the bench. You say he had no heart, but that's rubbish. All he ever wanted was to play football, and he dropped down a league to get that by joining Cardiff, and then us. He worked hard, got snapped up by the best team in the CCC last season in Newcastle, and was an integral part in their promotion.
Mackie is some way off achieving what Routledge has. Routs has had some prem experience, whereas Mackie has had some CCC. No comparrisson for me. Routs is streets ahead.Last edited by BennyBoyRs; 19-08-2010, 10:59 PM.Your mum would love me...

Routledge really wasnt all that for us..
He played a blinder every other month, the rest of the time he was just a name on the teamsheet.
I actually prefer Mackie but he has to prove himself for more than just the two games. Still he carrys on as he has done and the rangers faithful will continue to love him...
I love his passion, his celebrations after scoreing are like something out of the Bronson film, he go's totally mental! Brilliant.Last edited by Youvebeenrangered; 19-08-2010, 11:30 PM.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...
