Understand where your coming from and will give the bloke a chance but got to be honest I couldn't give a monkey's how much we spend on a player, I'm only interested in their abilities. Everything I have seen so far suggests he is average at best. Please show me the facts otherwise and I'll gladly shut up.

For a start I understand he is a winger. Do we need another winger? Maybe, but nowhere near as desperately as we need an out and out goalscorer. If reports are 3m are near the mark this is a hugely inflated price for someone who has done zilch in the game. Him or Chopra?

For me to stop moaning I want to see 2 decent, proven goalscorers. It really is that simple.

The purpose of this board is to have discussion about all things QPR. Now that we have a decent manager are we all supposed to agree with everything he/or the club does?
Will be pretty quiet on here.

    Rant over.

      we will never all agree!!

especially with the negativity by certain fans of ours, Warnock has wanted him from day 1 - there is no evidence he is average is there? whhat evidence are you talking about? as a winger he is highly and our board are behind the gaffer

I for one believe Goddards reports from Ipswich fans which suggests he is not average

I take it you have been an avid follower of his career throughout then, as you seem to have made your mind up on his abilities? I will hold my hands up and admit, I have seen very little of the player and will not judge him before he kicks a ball for QPR, the idea of that is ridiculous

With regards to the price, in my eyes, just rumours, we will never know the exact figure, i'm sure.

Previous clubs include the mighty S****horpe/ Hull / Crewe / Bolton / Wrexham / Chester / Ipswich.

Approx 239 games with 45 goals to his name. 130 games for Ipswich, 30 goals.

                World beater?

Well done for checking Wikipedia or wherever you got your stats from, how many times have you seen him play? Pretty sure I could count it on one hand.

How about you go with the novel idea of judging him when he turns out for QPR, just a thought.

From my rockingchair I can truly state that what matters today is to get one´s point across. Never mind it´s the truth or even plausible or not!

So from my point of view, a HUGE problem in society today. Hence, I will not relate it to us footballsupporters and our messageboards as such.

                    PS. Im only ON coffee.

1 - The manager merry go round (We now look to have a solid manager)
2 - We never spend money (We are spending money)
3 - The only place we are going is down (We are looking ok this season)

I could sit here all night, for once, can't we be happy that the board are giving OUR manager money to spend on the players HE wants.

                        Where is the issue?
Dan some on here always like to find an issue rather than get behind the club

                          Look at the bigger picture.

Walters is good, maybe someone else on loan will be the final piece to the jigsaw.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Well said Dan - these are the views of would-be fantasy football managers. Given Gianni's dealings in the transfer market previously, I can understand the cynicism, but Walters is we understand the choice of NW and his team, and on their record so far in the transfer market and on the pitch, surely they can be congratulated.

I also remember when Faurlin was signed, there were many dissenters querying the decision and the amount of money paid, and he's now arguably our most consistent performer.

Walters is at his peak (26), not over the hill, and was Ipswich Town captain, clearly an above average player at this level.

I agree with a lot of this.
I'm just wondering why this amount of money has been spent on another midfielder (unless NW is intending playing him up front) rather than on a proven goalscorer).
Personally, I'm not doubting his ability, as I know little about him (he clearly hasn't made the impact on me that other players have) -- but that in itself is a bit concerning. Any players worth that much are well-known. I'm just wondering whether we are becoming very heavy with midfielders whilst still very thin on the ground strikers wise.

To Dan who started this thread, we aren't all fair-weather fans, we have been there to see the improvement and to see the two clean sheets in the league this season and the goals assisted and scored by the very players who will probably have to make way for Walters.
I personally am not moaning, just very happy with the start of the season, and the momentum the team have, and are a bit concerned about losing that momentum if Walters walks into the team.
And as for wanting to see the team lose on Saturday, as someone suggested -- that's a stupid suggestion. We don't pay a fortune to watch our team lose, but to will them on to win, whoever is playing.

I just hope that, if the WINNING team is changed, that we are still celebrating another emphatic victory come 5pm Saturday.
There's a big difference between criticism/moaning and caution.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
